Obama wants the guns, boys and girls ....

So after all the Monarch controlled operations a dry runs, the USA finally has it's Dunblane moment.

Haven't heard of it? Or maybe you've forgotten:

The Dunblane school massacre occurred at Dunblane Primary School in the Scottish town of Dunblane on 13 March 1996. The gunman, 43-year-old Thomas Hamilton (b. 10 May 1952), entered the school armed with four handguns, shooting and killing sixteen children and one adult before committing suicide. Along with the 1987 Hungerford massacre and the 2010 Cumbria shootings, it remains one of the worst criminal acts involving firearms in the history of the United Kingdom.
Public debate subsequent to these events centred on gun-control laws, including public petitions calling for a ban on private ownership of handguns and an official enquiry, the Cullen Report. In response to this debate, the Firearms (Amendment) Act 1997 and the Firearms (Amendment) (No. 2) Act 1997 were enacted, which effectively made private ownership of handguns illegal in the United Kingdom.

Here's the truth of the shootings in Connecticut :

A mentally handicapped man, Adam Lanza, went into a school in Sandy Creek, Conn., USA, and shot a group of kids and adults, with guns registered to his mother, Nancy Lanza.

The murder weapon:
_ Bushmaster .223-caliber: lightweight with a high capacity, it also is popular with law enforcement and the military, and is commonly seen at shooting competitions. Two men convicted in a series of sniper killings in the Washington, D.C.-area in 2002 used a Bushmaster .223-caliber rifle that they fired from the trunk of a car at randomly picked victims. Some models have a detachable magazine that can hold up to 30 rounds. The medical examiner in Connecticut said it appeared all the children and school staff were shot with the same high-powered rifle, some repeatedly, some at close range.
Also found in the school:
_ Glock 10 mm: a larger and more powerful weapon than the widely popular 9 mm, it is in many respects similar to the 9 mm. It is a lightweight and comparatively affordable weapon that is often used for target shooting and for personal protection.
_ Sig Sauer 9 mm: considered an upper-tier, quality product, it's comparatively expensive, and its range of uses include elite military and police units.

Now what would Obama's response be?
Obama suggested he may be willing to move beyond a conversation in response to Friday’s shooting.
“As a country, we have been through this too many times,” he said. “These neighborhoods are our neighborhoods, these children are our children,” the president said.  “And we’re going to have to come together to take meaningful action to prevent more tragedies like this, regardless of the politics.”

So then Gun Control then.

Fantasy and dream of all dictatorships, ancient and modern. A population at the mercy of whatever gang of theirves gains control of the plebeian mob, who are bought with bread and circuses (or today with tax rebates and welfare cheque coutesy of the Treasury).

And these people never hide heir desperation to succeed. Like the UK government which managed to get ownership of legal hand guns off the law books, Obama will do whateve the needed actions are to see guns out of the hands of Americans. And, Brits, Frechies and Italian, before you feel too smug, Obama is a tool of a group who operate globally - they re FURTHER ahead in the EU than in the USA.
